Course
Cultivation of medicinal plants
An indicative course for growers who want a clear introduction to cultivated medicinal plants, quality planting material, and honest limits.

- Audience
- Farmers, nursery workers, and students new to medicinal-plant cultivation.
- Duration
- Indicative: three days.
- Format
- In person in Himachal Pradesh, or a live online session when a cohort is confirmed.
- Fee
- Confirmed with each intake
- Next intake
- To be announced
Learning outcomes
- Describe why planting material quality matters more than a long species list.
- Read a simple field record: source, plot, and what was harvested.
- Know which questions belong to a conservation authority rather than a short course.
Eligibility. Open to adults. No clinical qualification is required. The course does not confer a licence to practise medicine or to collect wild plants.
Schedule. Dates are announced with each intake. No intake is open on this page.
Documents
- Your name and a way to reply.
- A sentence on whether you grow, study, or plan to grow.
- No medical records.
Application steps
- Read this outline.
- Submit the application form.
- Wait for a reply. A form is not a confirmed seat.
- Fees, if any, are confirmed before an intake. Do not send payment with the form.
This course introduces cultivation as a livelihood and conservation choice. It stays with widely grown species and the questions a grower should ask before planting.
It does not give collection methods for threatened wild plants, and it does not replace advice from the forest department or the National Medicinal Plants Board.
